This is Red Hook's first Open
"VOTER-CENTRIC" Election Forum
.

Every candidate has a yard sign and hands out a pamphlet with bullet points.
Some will even make the effort to visit your house
and say they will do something about it.

But what will they do?

Here is a website developed in an effort to give candidates
an open forum to present information on the issues
to help voters make an informed voting choice.

How it works...

  • By clicking on the candidates name you will find one page of information about them aligned with their campaign brochures and hand outs.
  • The issues open for response are taken from the Town Board agendas and general concerns of the community.
  • It is the candidates choice on which issues to address.
  • There will be a limit of a paragraph per issue but an additional page can be provided for further explanation if necessary.
  • The dialogue will alternate from one party to the other equally when equal input is provided.
  • If an additional issue is brought up, we will attempt to include it.
  • Issue responses to the site are done through the website e-mail address available through your party affiliates.

Thank you for participating.
Good luck to everyone!

Red Hook issues are real.
The candidates are running to address the issues.

Over 1400 visits to this site in less than 2 weeks with only a few days of publicity, reflect a genuine interest in the issues and who is willing to address them.

The question remains:
Who will actually address them?

Republican, Democrats and Independents...
Call your candidates and ask why they cannot address the issues.

Empty pages and no response reflects poorly on the promises that they are making to the public.
